Quality of Caregiver–Child Interactions for Infants and Toddlers, (QCIT) Observational Certification Training (OCT)
Description: The QCIT OCT will provide participants with a 5-day training on the evidence-based observational measure of the quality of caregiver–child interactions in early care and education settings that serve infants and toddlers (i.e., family child care and center-based settings). This training can support a deeper understanding of how that quality can inform professional development, evaluation, monitoring, research, and administrator decision making.
Learning Objectives:
Explain what the QCIT tool measures
Identify effective practices for each QCIT dimension
Score observations of early care and education settings using the QCIT measure
Who should attend: Region VII education managers, leaders, and coaches who are interested in becoming QCIT certified observers.

When:
Pre-training – online (independently): Approximately 4 hours during the week prior to training (Week of October 31st)
QCIT OCT: November 7 - 11, 2022 8:30 – 5:30 (CST) via Zoom

A substitution may be made up to (3) three days prior to the start of a training. A substitute is a single individual who attends the entire event in lieu of the original registrant.
