Bright Beginnings Early Childhood Center in Dodge City, KS was filled with community members on Thursday, November 17^th.  The occasion was Kansas Reads to Preschoolers.  Bright Beginnings invited many "celebrities" from their local community to come into their classrooms to read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, by Bill Martin, Jr.  Several community members from all walks of life volunteered their time to come and read to the preschoolers.  There were retired teachers, parents, a judge, friends, a representative from Senator Pat Roberts' office, and basketball players from the local community college.  All of the volunteers had one thing in common:  they care about the education of young children, and realize how important it is for adults to read to children.  It was hard to tell who was having more fun, the volunteer readers, or the children.
