On Thursday, January 8, KHSA recognized Kansas and Region VII award winners at the APM meeting.  Winners joined member program representative for a banquet lunch and awards ceremony.  Eight awards were presented.

Kathy Allen (Heartland Programs)- Beating the Odds Award

Dana Young (SEK-CAP Head Start) - Rutha Weatherl Memorial Parent of the Year Award (Kansas and Region VII Winner)

Nicholas Clayson (Heartland Programs) - Father of the Year Award (Kansas and Region VII Winner)

Dr. Placido Arturo Hoernicke (Hays Head Start) - Humanitarian of the Year Award (Kansas and Region VII Winner)

Becky Donelan (Heartland Programs) - NHSA Leadership Award

Roxanne Bell (Heartland Programs) - Support Staff of the Year Award (Kansas and Region VII Winner)

Thea Todd (Heartland Programs) - Staff of the Year Award (Kansas and Region VII Winner)

Jody Shadwick (SEK-CAP Head Start) - Teacher of the Year Award (Kansas and Region VII Winner)
