Another Successful Dental Day
SEK-CAP Head Start takes an inovative approach toward meeting Head Start Performance Standards for dental care services to enrolled children each year by conducting their Annual Dental Day. Partnering dental professionals from throughout their twelve county service area reserve this day in service to children and families by delivering high-quality care in nurturing and child-friendly environments. Dental Day is a positive experience for everyone as expressed in the photographs and through the smiles of the children and caring dental partners!
House Representative Shirley Palmer Makes Early Head Start Home Visit
A SEK-CAP Head Start Ready for School Week activity involved District 4 Kansas House Representative Shirley Palmer of Ft. Scott. Recognizing the importance of investing in voluntary, high-quality early learning, Ms. Palmer recently participated in a SEK-CAP Early Head Start home visit with Annie Patterson and her children Hayden and Grace of Uniontown.
