Early Childhood Educators can feel incapable and frustrated when trying to meet the needs of children with challenging behavior. Positive Behavior Support (PBS) is a system used by several of our Head Start Programs in Kansas and increasinly by school districts as well. The model focuses on promoting social/emotional development and preventing challenging behavior.

Participants will gain more advanced or intermediate level strategies for Teaching Social Skills that build on basic skill development. The focus of the day will be on the top level of the Teaching Pyramid where participants will learn to use Individualized Supportive Interventions.

Presenters are from SEK-CAP, which is a national model program for PBS.
